Bankers, Secret Societies &The Magnificent Fraud (continued)

In a self-centered consumer society, which abhors any kind of discomfort and regards self-denial as an oddity, the “magnificent Fraud” reigns supreme!

The present-day secret societies started innocently enough as sects that gave cognisance to occult phenomena, zodiacal signs and symbols. In the Western world it was probably the Rosicrucians who started the ball rolling with the return to Germany, from travels in Arabia and Morocco, of an individual called Christian Rosenkreutz (1378 – 1484). He had become influenced by the Kabala and received training in occultism and magic from “Elemental Spirits”. (The Kabala has been described, in the Encyclopaedia Britannica, as “a poorly written collection of dualistic texts based on inauthentic rabbinical authorities”).

Nevertheless, Rosenkreutz gathered about him a group of men dedicated to spreading the mystical teachings while still firmly believing in Christ and the Scriptures. At this time they were not secret and for almost two centuries went about the task of doing good works, curing the sick and so on.

Then in 1604, a hundred and twenty years after the death of their founder, the brothers discovered a door behind which were boxes of secret books and ritual objects; and it seems likely that this discovery was a catalyst for the appearance in 1614 and 1615, of two mysterious manifestoes, the translated titles being: The Proclamation and The Confession of Fraternity. A third Rosicrucian document called The Chemical (Alchemistic?) Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz, attributed to one Johan Valentin Andrae, appeared in 1916.

The occult symbology of these documents, with its promise of “illumination” had a heady effect in the West and led to the formation of new orders which sprang up like mushrooms - but not all of them were as squeaky clean as the original Rosicrucians.

Occult practices that go back to ancient civilizations strengthened the egoic resolve of the day, and sometimes the participation of “spirits” – jinn, incubi and succubae, added relish. (There are many examples in esoteric literature of individuals whose powers involved the cooperation of jinn and other types of spirits).

In Germany an Order of the Golden Rosy Cross, had William II of Prussia as one of its members, and for a time Prussia became virtually a Rosicrucian state - but it is generally believed that the birth of the clandestine trends seen in modern secret societies took place after Adam Weishaupt.

Weishaupt was a defected Jesuit and a professor of Canon Law at the University of Ingolstadt in Bavaria, who developed in 1776 a secret cult called the Ancient and Illuminated Seers of Bavaria. He also adopted the term “illuminati” to describe themselves. Even so, Weishaupt may have started with visions of utopia for he regaled strongly against other sects who were light on morality and used their Orders for personal material gain.

In one of his writings he said: “The tenor of my life has been the opposite of everything that is vile… In another situation and in an active station in life (which had been denied him by the Government) I should have been keenly occupied and the founding of the order would have never come into my head.”

But under the circumstances it was not long before he was persuaded by international financiers to propagate an elite club of “luminaries” - with the acquisition and control of wealth as its central tenet; and, it is said, the first five were: the financier, Meyer Amschel Rothschild, the Marquis De Sade (of sadism), Dashwood of the English Satanic Hellfire Club, a friend, Hr. Kollmer, and Weishaupt himself. Weishaupt’s gang-of-five was believed to have given rise to the aspiration of creating a one-world, one-religion, white male racist and sexist order - with themselves and their successors as its undisputed leaders.

Even today, with the world screaming human rights and women’s liberation, secret societies such as the Masons remain essentially white male dominated. Very few of the Masonic lodges have full-time black members and women have to form their own lodges.

The website www.masoninfo.com/women writes: “To the majority of Freemasons today (dominated by US and Canadian brethren), the concept of women becoming masons is an anathema. This is not because of sexist feelings, but because they feel women are incapable of understanding and appreciating the lessons of Freemasonry. (And) it is because … they have sworn not to be present at the making of a woman a Mason. This is, as stated by the Grand Lodge, one of the ‘landmarks’ of Freemasonry, and as such, is unchangeable.”

In the general functioning of secret societies it seems that bribery, blackmail, persuasion and coercion are not shunned as means of obtaining cooperation and collusion from influential people, people with special talents and those in positions of power.

These, as functionaries, infiltrate all levels of government in the form of royalty, presidents, prime ministers and other politicians, secretaries of state, police officials, ambassadors, lobbyists, think-tank members, advocacy groups, conservative foundations, PR firms, corporations and so on.

In recent months “top cops” of the British police are being accused of racism and other types of skullduggery and some of them have been sacked. Others have been bothering the Archbishop of Canterbury and other Church officials. But for the most part the real top brass of the secret societies, remain in the background but are consummate users and people - who are dumped as soon as their usefulness declines.

Among them, the right-wing financiers and bankers reign supreme. Lyndon LaRouche has described them as the “Synarchist International”, and perhaps now, even the most powerful of the used, the USA itself, is on the brink of being dumped – for these types of individuals can in no way be compared to patriots.

The only rules are the rules of making money, and, it seems, the best way to make money is to generate conflict and then finance both sides.

This idea has been around for a long time and, until recently, was the main ploy of the international financiers. The idea of creating conflict then served the dual purpose of generating the means of making money and reducing the population.

Back in the late 18th century when Weishaupt’s gang-of-five got into gear, population reduction was needed because over population was a serious social concern.

(At that time, before the onset of modern technical agriculture, farming could hardly support the population of Europe, even when the majority of the population was kept in penury). So wars and revolutions were promoted, setting groups against each other to affect this end. According to evidence possessed by the Bavarian Government of the time, which was widely circulated but not acted upon, Weishaupt’s “illuminati” in association with the “illuminati” of England and France, were able to manipulate the dissatisfaction of the French people and bring about the French Revolution in 1789.

Later the Napoleonic wars were fomented, and with a touch of Machiavellian genius from the financiers, a rumor was circulated after the final battle of Waterloo, that Napoleon had won - which sent the stock market in England into free fall.

International financiers were then able to buy up the stock at bargain basement prices.

How the international financial fraternity manipulated and profited from WW I, WW II and the Cold War with the Soviets, is brilliantly told by Lyndon LaRouche in EIR Magazine Vol. 32, 2005 (see www.laurochepub.com). It goes something like this:

King Edward VII of England had two nephews – the Czar of Russia and the Kaiser of Germany. In 1905 he convened a meeting with them and persuaded them to go to war. The Kaiser was an idiot and the Czar was a weakling and they both went down as a result of being fools and agreeing to cooperate with the idea.

And who was behind Edward VII? The “Synarchist International” - because royalty always seems to be short of cash! It was, perhaps, a plan for the financiers of the USA, England and France to get control of Europe, but it went pair-shaped when England and France were dragged into the war themselves through patriotic zeal.

Nevertheless, for the banking fraternity, matters were corrected by getting Germany to pay reparations for WWI, until it collapsed financially in 1923 - and also, incidentally set the stage for Germany’s hatred of the international Jews - who were able to benefit from Germany’s situation by buying up assets and setting themselves up as a privileged class.

The war reparations went to pay the war debts of England and France – right into the coffers of the “Synarchist International”! Next, continuing along the line of conflict creation, Hitler was set up for another war. LaRouche points out that he was persuaded by Woodrow Wilson’s Secretary of State, through his friend the banker Hjalmar Schacht, through the funding of the re-armament of Germany.

Initially the plan was for England (and France) to join forces, with Hitler bearing the brunt, to eliminate Russia. (By then communism was becoming a serious worry and Hitler was seen as the guy to solve the problem by being persuaded to attack Russia. It is said that Hitler came to power directly on orders of the Bank of England).

But, as yet another indicator that the “Magnificent Fraud” is really in control, things went pair shaped again. Stalin negotiated an agreement with Hitler that he would strike West rather than East – and to get this going he was persuaded to attack Poland, with which England had a protection treaty! But Germany eventually was laid flat and the financiers, this time firmly based in the USA, as a compensation prize for losing absolute control of Europe, got to finance the rebuilding of Germany.

And what about Japan? Japan was drawn into a war by being starved of the imports it needed to build its economy – principally fuel, steel and other raw materials.

There was a secret agreement that Japan would be allowed to have primary control of the Asian area – in collusion, of course, with the international financiers. But, in reality, Japan would have to lose in the end, for although it fought bravely, it could not stand up to the military might of the USA.

For the end of the war, according to LaRouche (and his facts can be verified), the Vatican had negotiated the peaceful surrender of Japan, to be announced by the Emperor. But this did not suit the “Synarchist International”. There had to be a new conflict!

So President Roosevelt was persuaded to drop the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs. This catapulted the world into a highly profitable 40-year cold war. And was Russia defeated by the West? No, it was the Russian people who were being more and more attracted to the glitz of the latest creation of the Western financiers – the consumer society!

Although the collapse of the iron curtain was a loss, and serious attempts were made to set up China as a replacement bogey man, the newest bandwagon and an entirely new focus, was the consumer society.

And to really get it going there had to be some adjustments: the gold standard had to be abandoned, paper currency had to be floated and traded like stocks and shares, and the World Bank and the IMF were needed to be the facilitators and lenders.

The Change of Focus – the Consumer Society

Prior to WW II, a major global concern was over population, but after WWII, when birth control was becoming effective and modern agriculture was producing a surfeit of food, a different tack was taken by the manipulators of the world.

The consumer society was established as the need to reduce population declined; except in Africa and Latin America - which are still the targets of genocide. The consumer society envisioned, for the industrialized countries, a population no longer held in absolute penury, but in monetary penury to the suppliers of capital.

People were to be supplied with vacuum cleaners, washing machines, refrigerators and so on – which they would themselves make, using money supplied by the banks. The term hire-purchase was coined and in the 1950’s Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were used with great effectiveness to explain consumerism to the people.

The epicentre of this notion was, of course, the USA but it spread rapidly through the industrialized world. By using the gold standard to accumulate wealth, (the gold price was fixed at $28 for more than a century while its true value rose to hundreds of dollars), and following the impoverishment of Britain with WWII and the reconstruction of Europe with the Marshall Plan, the USA became immensely rich and was able to establish the greenback as the top currency.

Other machinations followed. It was necessary to go off the gold standard, which happened in 1971. Gold could not be acquired fast enough to support the growth phenomena envisioned so for the first time in banking history, paper money became no longer redeemable in gold.

Then, with the IMF as facilitator and the World Banks as lenders, it became possible to persuade nations to float their currencies (otherwise they couldn’t get loans), and thus they could be manipulated to the advantage of the international financers. The most outstanding recent example is Indonesia, which suffered terribly and fell into religious bickering and confrontation – something that was unknown before. And, it is said, that much of the trouble dealt out by the USA to Yugoslavia was due to the Slavs steadfast refusal to float their currency.

Some countries, like Australia, sold off large parts of their gold in their zeal to follow the way of America. But now, it seems, the economies of the USA and the other acolyte “developed” countries, are becoming exceedingly worried over the massively inflated values of stocks and shares and other paper-related assets.

But does this worry the financiers? Not a bit, because it’s only the people who are going to be in deep trouble; the financiers still hold on to the hardware – the houses, buildings, factories and so on, which were used as borrowing collateral.

Stability, to the world of the “Synarchist International”, is an anathema – there’s no money to be made with stability, and any losses resulting from fluctuation are bourn by the lowly investors and borrowers. And these financers don’t actually engage in any useful activity themselves, but simply finance manufacturing and marketing, taking their cut on everything. And now, because greed knows no bounds, growth must continue to be inflamed as much as possible - and perhaps the time has come to move away from the overdeveloped first-world countries and to concentrate on the yet undeveloped world, the Asian world, where the prospects for growth are enormous.

But can the same tricks be continued there? Time will tel but it may be appropriate to draw attention to the ancient adage: “It takes two Irishmen to cheat a Jew, but it takes two Jews to cheat a Chinaman” – and there are lots of Chinamen!

To the “Synarchist International” the problem of global warming, exacerbated by consumerism, which calls for a vast consumption of energy, is of little concern - but how oil fits into this with the pursuit of the final oil profits, is another story.

Freedom, human rights and the myth of “democracy”: Because of modern notions of freedom, human rights and democracy, it is now necessary to keep people ignorant and to instill a measure of fear in them.

The schemers don’t want public education to succeed, and in this they have arranged things admirably in the USA, which has just about the most ignorant public in the developed world. (Mr. Howard, in Australia, innocently perhaps, is trying to do the same thing).

For the middle classes the idea of user-pays is inculcated. They should send their children to special schools and keep the ordinary people ignorant so they can’t get good jobs. Isn’t this the mindset of the middle classes?

But in these special schools their children are also kept ignorant, albeit in a more subtle way.

Governments all over the world have discovered the truth of Winston Churchill’s declaration that: “You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” But, under the flags of “democracy” and “freedom” you only need to fool 51% of the people at any one time – and this is where the media barons and modern electioneering practice come in.

Through numerous magazines, papers and broadcasts, a subtle cocktail of misinformation is fed to the people – mixed in with the things that amuse the public most: gossip, banal information programs and entertainment.

A retired analyst from ASIO (Australia’s secret service organisation), pointed out that in the cold war days, Readers Digest always printed two divisive proper-gander articles against communism; the other articles being well researched and correctly informative. The result of all this is that people in the West suffer terribly, not from shortage of food and shelter (at the present time), but from anxiety, fear of losing their possessions, and the rise of many new health and mental problems.

The occult connection: So in modern times, is the influence of the occult still a major determining factor? After all it is hard to envision most of the manipulators of the world putting on little aprons and engaging in the mumbo jumbo of occult ceremonies!

Maybe so, but there is still a fascination with occult and religious themes in the modern world that can be manipulated. Take the symbology of the Rosy Cross for example: Christopher McIntosh (see New Dawn May-June 2005) points out that the cross is a symbol of suffering, sacrifice and death - and its opposite, the rewards of sacrifice.

This may be what was behind the obsession with sacrifice seen in civilizations such as the Incas and the Ancient Egyptians – and possibly also more recent Machiavellian manipulations involving “sacrifice” – Gallipoli, Iraq and so on.

Further, the rose is a Roman symbol of secrecy and is the origin of the phrase sub rosa. Symbolism at the gross physical level is seen with the cross as a phallus and the rose (lotus) as the female genitalia. In all this symbology the emphasis is on opposites (dualism): male and female, rich and poor, black and white, and death and resurrection - sacrifice followed by benefits (good crops and, in modern times, lots of money).

However, there is no evidence of supernatural power held by an elite of “luminaries” in the Western world. All their activities take place against a background of uncertainty and, as indicated above, of things going wrong. The debacles of modern wars from Korea to Iraq are good examples.

It has been said, and many Christians believe this, that secret alliances of royals, presidents, financiers and the like are being directed by Lucifer, but it is not necessary to invoke Lucifer. All the malevolent activities attributed to Lucifer are being undertaken by ordinary humans, driven by greed, fear and ignorance: carpet bombing, napalm, agent orange, spent uranium, economic manipulation, (possibly even mini-nukes in the near future) and many other things, produce all the atrocities attributed to Lucifer.

But the Machiavellian manipulations need not always be taken as negative for there are positive things happening as well. In spite of the agendas of the coalitions of the willing, “terrorists” have not created havoc in America – even though it would be easy and no amount of “Homeland Protection” could prevent it.

In every case it seems clear that there is a higher force is at work, and that, in this world, it is the great joker, the “Magnificent Fraud”.

The world, it seems, has to have opposites: good and bad, love and hate, rich and poor and so on, and these are the criteria that govern all worldly happenings. If there were no opposites the world may simply disappear! So is there any deeper understanding? Yes, certainly, but it is seen, for the most part, only “through a glass darkly.”

Views through a glass darkly

Notwithstanding all the signs and symbols of occult interference, the great mystical saints and seers see things differently. One of these, Rama Tirtha (1873 – 1906), explained that there are three basic worlds: the gross physical world, the psychic or astral world, and the world of the unknown.

All the heavens and hells of the religions belong to the second – but they are all of them simply worlds; that is, they exist in the illusion of time and duality – of “right” and “wrong”.

To hanker after any of them - the occult realms of the “illuminati” and so on - is nothing more than worldliness based on ignorance.

Nisargadatta Maharaj pointed out that the liberated see beyond the world and what may occupy the whole field of consciousness when bound in the personal world based on memory, will be only a speck to an enlightened individual.

Such a person sees the world as it is: A momentary appearance in consciousness. One may ask how the words of the mystical saints and seers can be authenticated – over those of the worldly wise.

There are a number of criteria. Firstly, what they do and say must be benign and helpful to humanity. Secondly, the authority that is represented by these mystics must be eternal (that is, outside time).

Aldous Huxley pointed out that they must, “create in the mind a condition approximating to timelessness... and this can only be represented by a man or woman whose mere presence is self-validating proof of a deeper insight into the eternal reality, a closer union with the divine Ground of all Being.”

And a third criterion is that there must be love; the trump card of any “Absolute Reality” must be love, for love is the only thing that can stand up to infinity. We do not detect much love in the prognostications of the worldly wise, nor in them can we detect much real happiness.

What the world sees, the gobbledygook of secret societies, and what occupies most of our thinking, is described by the true mystics as being of the nature of a dream.

All the mystical saints and sages agree on this. A contemporary saint, Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) – who’s credentials are above question, has said that we are identified with an ancient dream, based on thoughts and past experiences, that is projected by the mind; and at our present stage of understanding we believe the dream is real.

A visitor to her ashram, seeing the long hours that Amma spends helping the thousands of visitors and doing the same thing every day, asked if she didn’t get bored. She replied something like this: “Son, boredom happens only to worldly human beings… A Mahatma (a liberated soul) experiences a constant sense of wonder and freshness in his entire outlook and all his actions. Boredom and dryness come only when you have a feeling of duality, the attitude of ‘me’ and ‘you’… Oneness with the entire universe eliminates any such feelings. When your existence is rooted in pure love, how can you ever be bored?”

So what about all the atrocities of the world? In a sense, the whole of life in duality can be considered an atrocity if there is not “illumination” - for where does it ever bring lasting peace and happiness.

Everyone suffers - from sickness, violence, anxiety, depression. It may seem absurd to say that in worldly life everyone suffers equally – surely the well-to-do suffer much less than the poor? But the fact is that this assumption does not stand up to close examination.

Just read the biographies and autobiographies of the rich and famous, and reflect on Emerson’s conclusion that, “The majority of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” You might find that the poor are closer to ‘Reality’ and are actually happier.

This is what Alexandra David-Neel, a French woman explorer who, disguised as a peasant, reached Lhasa - when Tibet, through the machinations of the British, had become the ‘forbidden land’ - wrote: “We had nothing of the lugubrious physical and mental aspect of those in the West. All were dirty and ragged, food was coarse and often scarce, but everybody enjoyed the great luminous blue sky, and the bright life-giving sun - and waves of joy swept through the minds of these unlucky ones devoid of worldly wealth.”

If we look at newsreels of the world’s trouble spots and very poor countries, or better still if we visit them, we can usually see children playing happily among the rubble and open drains; while children in the West, with all their gadgets, seem frequently to be screwed up.

The adults you meet in the slums of poor countries will also be much more in tune with reality and not self-pitying at all. It has been said that going against reality is the source of all suffering, and the well-to-do of the developed countries are much more concerned with manipulating reality than the inhabitants of the poor countries!

No! The “Illuminati” or the “Synarchist Internationals” of the world are not running things, they are just as stupid an anyone else, and they, like Ozimandias, simply rise and fall with the upward and downward phases of a cosmic dream. Only the liberated see this, so contemplate them and become happy.
