Cross Dresser? A writer of titillating trivia and sensationally prurient stories claims he has uncovered potentially explosive information exposing Pope Benedict XVI as a cross dresser and linking him with a secret gay life style.

"I had no idea my research would lead me here." said the writer. "The tip off for me was when I learned Pope Benedict was demanding a return to referring to the Pope's office as 'The Vicar of Peter'. The Vicar of Peter was an early designation for Bishops occupying the Holy See of Rome., i.e., 'The Vatican', also known as the Apostolic See. However, for whatever reason the designation was dropped after approximately the year 495 AD. Afterwards, the designation has always been the 'Vicar of Christ' until now."

"But, the real 'eureka moment' was when I learned that Pope Benedict's earthly middle name is 'Alois'. After that, it was only matter of sniffing out, uncovering and following the tracks. I discovered a string of oddities and peculiarities which has led me to conclude that Pope Benedict XVI is at least a flaming queen and possibly far, far more. I also worry for example, although I have absolutely no proof, that I may discover the Pope is a pedophile, given the propensity for priests in the Catholic Church towards abuse of children, and especially alter boys.

"You also can't help but notice his prissy, natty white clothing, silk dresses really, that he calls 'papal vestments'. And, you always see the Pope wearing that pointy little hat or a virginal white scull cap. That big golden 'Fisherman's Ring' is a dead giveaway too, and the way he's always got those bishops and priests kissing his hand kneeling down to him and all. I discovered that he even gets to choose his own 'regnal name' as Pope. There are just too many signs to easily ignore. That's why I feel completely safe in classifying the Pope as gay."

Author Buck E. Filbert who often writes for 'The Spoof', claims to have unearthed his information in Rome, Italy while researching in connection with the sensational string of articles he has published on, about or referring to Britney Spears' and other actresses' vaginas and other bodily parts. Critics have accused Filbert of writing salacious and voyeuristic stories in order to attract readership in a bid for a dominance in numbers, although he hotly denies that.
